TONY BALLANTYNE
The Robot & The Octopus (Nemo 5)
How I Am Getting On:
Very well, thank you. I'm just putting the finishing touches to DIVERGENCE (SF TorUK, due out in 2007), and I'm in the middle of the copyedits for the US versions of RECURSION and CAPACITY (SF Bantam Spectra August 2006). I've even managed to get a couple of shorts completed, something I always wish I had more time to do.
What Difference (if any) Nemo made:
I think the right time, the right market are essential for any story. Nemo was both of those things for Robot. I love the idea of someone picking up that unassuming little red book not knowing what they were going to find in it.

AVITAL GAD-CYKMAN
Breaking Rules (Nemo 1)
Following the publication in Nemonymous, I went on and published
other stories in magazines such as Stand Magazine, McSweeney's, Other
Voices, Glimmer Train and others in the USA, Canada, and England.
Three magazines have nominated my stories for the Pushcart prize.
The experience with Nemonymous was unique in many ways. Both being
anonymous and sharing the same space with writers of all genres added
playfulness to a serious publication. I am thankful for it.
