Jai Clare – "EYES LIKE WATER, LIKE ICE"
NEMONYMOUS 2
How I am getting on:
Since Nemonymous I have been published quite well in London Magazine
(4 times to date), twice in the prestigious Agni – and finalist for
Best Online Fiction 2004. I've had stories in excellent anthologies:
Wheatland Press' lovely Nine Muses anthology, Cleis Press Foreign
Affairs – literary erotic travel fiction, So New Media Consumed –
Women on Excess anthology and many other publications. I also have
developed my litblog – I was interviewed concerning it and get lots
of requests for reviews but as I am doing a phd and teaching at
university I find my blog gets rather more neglected than I would
like it to be: http://www.jaiclare.com/blog - I was also recently
Authortrek Author of the week which was rather nice!
What difference (if any) Nemo made?
Being accepted in Nemo was a thrill. Such a beautiful product with
great prestige. I am so glad it is back as there are so
few places both here and the US that publishes literary
dark fantasy in such a great form. I am sure being
published in it has helped the news that will be revealed
later this year...

JOHN TRAVIS
Nothing (Nemo 2)
How I am getting on:
Well, since my story in #2, I've written various short stories and completed a novel, a crime novel set in a world where animals are now the dominant species and humanity is extinct; I've had a few stories published; (Supernatural Tales, Fusing Horizons, Terror Tales, All Hallows, Dark Horizons) and a few acceptances, most recently a novella for a future issue of the Pendragon Press series Triquorum. In 2004 I wrote a sequel to 'Nothing' called 'Everything' which is due in Supernatural Tales #11. At some point I'd love to get a short story collection out there in print.
Differences:
Getting published in Nemonymous was a real boost for me. It is still by far (if reviews are anything to go by) my most read story, and, it seems, positively read too. And I doubt that I'll ever be published in a more beautiful publication if I live to be a hundred. If for any reason anybody wants to contact me, I can be reached at jtravis60@hotmail.com
